ATLANTA — House Speaker David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge) recently announced the appointment of State Representative Greg Morris (R-Vidalia) to the Capitol Arts Standards Commission Monument Committee. The Capitol Arts Standards Commission Monument Committee was created as a part of House Bill 702, sponsored by Rep. Morris during the 2014 legislative session, which calls for the placement of a monument depicting the Ten Commandments, Preamble to the state Constitution, and a portion of the Declaration of Independence on the grounds of the State Capitol. Rep. Morris Announces House Passage of HB 702, HB 772
ATLANTA — State Representative Greg Morris (R-Vidalia) announced the passage of House Bills 702 and 772 by the Georgia House of Representatives. Both bills passed the House on Monday, March 3, otherwise known as Crossover Day which is the deadline in which a piece of legislation must pass at least one of the General Assembly’s two chambers.
