ATLANTA – State Representative Jason Spencer (R-Woodbine) commented today on Governor Nathan Deal signing into law House Bill 943, legislation which establishes that neither the State of Georgia, or any of its departments, will use money or human resources to advance the voluntary expansion of the state’s eligibility in the Affordable Care Act. Rep. Spencer introduced the language of HB 943 that was originally contained in HB 707, which was sponsored by Rep. Spencer during this year’s legislative session. Renovation of Altamaha Tech Camden Campus Begins
ATLANTA – State Representative Jason Spencer (R-Woodbine) commented today on upcoming renovation plans for the Altamaha Technical College (ATC) campus in Camden County. Last year, the General Assembly appropriated $1 million in the Fiscal Year 2014 (FY14) State Budget to renovate unused space at the College of Coastal Georgia Camden campus. According to a recent Board of Regents study, the College of Coastal Georgia Camden campus has three times more opportunity to take advantage of unused space. This unused space will allow Altamaha Tech to expand their technical programs inside the Camden Campus to meet immediate local workforce development needs and increase the number of enrollees in the school’s technical programs. Extended Statute of Limitations Bill Passes Out of House Judiciary Non-Civil Committee
ATLANTA— State Representative Jason Spencer (R-Woodbine) announces the House Judiciary Non-Civil Committee’s passage of House Bill 771 at the committee’s hearing on Tuesday, February 25. Sponsored by Rep. Spencer, HB 771 would extend the statute of limitations for civil action in childhood sexual abuse cases.
