ATLANTA – State Representative Johnny Chastain (R-Blue Ridge), announces that Gilmer Arts in Ellijay, Georgia has been awarded a one-time grant of $100,000 allocated under House Bill 915, the Amended Fiscal Year 2024 budget. These Special Project funds are administered through the Georgia Council for the Arts, a division of the Georgia Department of Economic Development charged with empowering the arts industry in Georgia and artists around the state to cultivate healthy, vibrant communities that are rich in civic participation, cultural experiences and economic prosperity.

In addition to being officially sworn in, the Georgia House of Representatives’ Committee on Assignments named Rep. Chastain to the Banks and Banking, Code Revision and Small Business Development committees.
