Effingham County’s Mars Theatre Awarded Grant Funding to Support Special Art Projects

ATLANTA – The Georgia Department of Economic Development’s Georgia Council for the Arts (GCA) and House Majority Leader Jon Burns (R-Newnington), State Representative Bill Hitchens (R-Rincon) and State Senator Jack Hill (R-Reidsville) recently announced that the Mars Theatre was selected as a Vibrant Communities Grant recipient. Governor Kemp Signs Legislation to Help Detect Dense Breast Tissue

ATLANTA – House Majority Leader Jon Burns (R-Newington) today announced that House Bill 62, or “Margie’s Law,” was signed by Governor Brian Kemp on Thursday, May 2, 2019. HB 62 will require health care facilities that conduct mammogram screenings to notify a patient if they are found to have dense breast tissue.
