ATLANTA – State Representative Lynn Smith (R-Newnan), chair of the House Natural Resources and Environment Committee, recently received the 2026 Georgia Farm Bureau Commodity Award, one of the organization’s highest honors, during Georgia Farm Bureau’s (GFB) annual Commodity Conference on August 13, 2026, at the University of Georgia Tifton Campus. The GFB Commodity Award is given to individuals who have supported and promoted Georgia agriculture, and award recipients are selected by the GFB Board of Directors from nominees submitted by the organization’s commodity advisory committees.
