ATLANTA – State Representative Matt Reeves (R-Duluth) today announced that the Georgia General Assembly recently gave final passage to House Bill 383, or the Safer Hospitals Act. Sponsored by Rep. Reeves, the Safer Hospitals Act would allow all Georgia hospitals to form hospital campus police departments with POST certified law enforcement officers, similar to college campus police departments.

ATLANTA – State Representative Matt Reeves (R-Duluth) was recently appointed to serve as a member of the House Majority Caucus Whip Team. Rep. Reeves was appointed to serve on the whip team by House Majority Whip James Burchett (R-Waycross), and his appointment is for a two-year term concurrent with his service as a member of the Georgia House of Representatives.

ATLANTA – State Representative Matt Reeves (R-Duluth) was sworn into office as a member of the Georgia House of Representatives on Monday, January 9, 2023, marking his first day of the 2023-2024 legislative term. Rep. Reeves represents House District 99, which includes communities in Suwanee, Sugar Hill and Duluth in Gwinnett County. Monday was the first day of the first term of the 157th Legislative Session of the Georgia General Assembly.
