With this grant funding, the sheriff’s department will be able to purchase some of the latest law enforcement technology to help keep citizens safe and investigate crimes.
Rep. Mike Cameron Commends Grant Funding for Walker Co. Recreational, Green Spaces
ATLANTA – State Representative Mike Cameron (R-Rossville) commends the state for selecting recreational spaces in Walker County to receive grant funding from the federal American Rescue Plan Act. These investments, totaling approximately $4.81 million, will support specific projects across Walker County, including the Rossville Recreation Center, the Lafayette Multisport Recreation Park and Chattooga River Greenway, as well as the John Ross Commons ADA-compliant playground.
House Passes Rep. Mike Cameron’s Legislation to Modify Unemployment Insurance Contributions, Create New Incest Crime
ATLANTA – State Representative Mike Cameron (R-Rossville) today announced that the Georgia House of Representatives recently passed House bills 518 and 327 on Thursday, March 2, 2023. Sponsored by Rep. Cameron, HB 518 would modify the required rate of unemployment insurance contributions that go toward the Georgia Department of Labor; HB 327 would create a new crime for an incestuous relationship between a step-grandparent and step-grandchild.
