ATLANTA – Today, House Speaker Jon Burns (R-Newington) praised State Representative Butch Parrish (R-Swainsboro), Chairman of the House Rules Committee, State Representative Rob Leverett (R-Elberton), Chairman of the House Subcommittee of Rules on Lawsuit Reform and the members of the subcommittee for their passage of Senate Bill 68—Governor Brian Kemp’s comprehensive tort reform legislation. Senate Bill 68 is now eligible for a vote by the full House.

Rep. Rob Leverett Introduces Proposed Legislation to Reform Georgia’s Judicial Pay Structure

ATLANTA – State Representative Rob Leverett (R-Elberton), chairman of the House Reapportionment and Redistricting Committee, today announced two proposed bills he intends to file during the upcoming 2025 legislative session. The bills would be aimed at reforming the structure of judicial pay for both Superior Court judges and state-wide judges in Georgia.
