Reps. Kim Schofield, Sandra Scott and Robert Flournoy, Jr. Recognize September as Alopecia Awareness Month and Honor Monee’ Sanders

ATLANTA – State Representatives Kim Schofield (D-Atlanta), Sandra Scott (D-Rex) and Robert Flournoy, Jr. (D-Hampton) recently recognized September as Alopecia Awareness Month, bringing attention to individuals and families impacted by alopecia, an autoimmune disease that causes hair loss. The representatives also recognized Monee’ Sanders, who they noted made history at 19 years old as the first Black woman in the world to establish a nonprofit dedicated to autoimmune diseases.
