Rep. Will Wade Named 2023 Legislator of the Year by Georgia Baptist Mission Board

Speaker Ralston Announces House Working Group on Rising Costs of Construction Materials

ATLANTA – Speaker David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge) today announced the creation of the House Working Group on Rising Costs of Construction Materials.

“We know that the rising costs of construction materials pose a threat to our continued economic recovery,” said Speaker Ralston. “I am appointing this working group to look into why these costs are increasing and recommend any solutions which may alleviate this burden on those building for the future.” 

The members of the working group are:

  • Rep. Timothy Barr (R-Lawrenceville) – Vice Chairman
  • Rep. Spencer Frye (D-Athens) – Secretary
  • Rep. Beth Camp (R-Concord)

  • Rep. Marvin Lim (D-Norcorss)
  • Rep. Derek Mallow (D-Savannah)
  • Rep. Steven Meeks (R-Screven)
  • Rep. Brian Prince (D-Augusta)
  • Rep. Jason Ridley (R-Chatsworth)
  • Rep. Will Wade (R-Dawsonville)
  • Rep. Dale Washburn (R-Macon)
  • Rep. Noel Williams (R-Cordele)

Majority Leader Jon Burns (R-Newington) and Minority Leader James Beverly (D-Macon) are appointed as ex-officio members of the working group.

The House Working Group on Rising Costs of Construction Materials is constituted pursuant to the authority granted to the Speaker by House Rules. The working group is authorized for the entirety of the 2021-2022 legislative term.
