ATLANTA – State Representative Devan Seabaugh (R-Marietta) was recently appointed by Governor Brian Kemp to serve as a Governor’s Floor Leader for the 2026 legislative session.
“I am incredibly honored to have been appointed by Governor Kemp to serve as one of his Floor Leaders for the 2026 legislative session,” said Rep. Seabaugh. “Throughout his tenure, Governor Kemp has worked tirelessly to advance meaningful legislation that best serves the hardworking people of Georgia. As a Floor Leader, I intend to uphold that same commitment by helping pass historic policies that continue to benefit and support all Georgians. I look forward to working alongside my fellow Floor Leaders in both the House and Senate to advance the governor’s agenda and maintain Georgia’s standing as the best place to live and work.”
As floor leader, Rep. Seabaugh will join a team of three other House members who introduce the governor’s legislation in the House.
Representative Devan Seabaugh represents the citizens of District 34, which includes a portion of Cobb County. He was first elected to the House of Representatives in 2021 and currently serves as a Governor’s Floor Leader. He currently serves as Vice Chairman of the Creative Arts & Entertainment Committee, the Industry and Labor Committee and the Appropriations Subcommittee on Health, and also serves on the Energy, Utilities & Telecommunications, Public and Community Health, and Transportation committees.
