ATLANTA – The Georgia House of Representatives’ Committee on Assignments named State Representative Bert Reeves (R-Marietta) to the Insurance, Interstate Cooperation, and Judiciary Non-Civil committees.
“I am very excited about my committee assignments,” said Rep. Reeves. “As a former prosecutor, having a place on the Judiciary Non-Civil Committee was my highest priority. There are many issues that will be taken up this year which will go through this committee, and as an experienced prosecutor, I look forward to having significant input into these matters. I am committed to public safety, and I look forward to being heavily involved with its related legislation, which impacts each and every Georgian.”
The House Committee on Assignments, chaired by House Speaker David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge), is charged with making all House committee assignments for the members of the Georgia House of Representatives.
