Rep. Mike Glanton Receives Committee Assignments for 2015-2016 Legislative Term

ATLANTA – The Georgia House of Representatives’ Committee on Assignments recently appointed State Representative Mike Glanton (D-Jonesboro) to serve as a member on the Appropriations, Defense & Veterans Affairs, Education, and Public Safety and Homeland Security committees.

“I am, again, honored to be selected by Speaker Ralston and members of the House Committee on Assignments to serve on such prestigious and important committees,” said Rep. Glanton. “These appointments serve as validation of my ongoing commitment to serve the Clayton County community and all residents of the state of Georgia.”

The House Committee on Assignments, chaired by House Speaker David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge), is charged with making all House committee assignments for the members of the Georgia House of Representatives.

Representative Mike Glanton represents the citizens of District 75, which includes portions of Clayton County. He was first elected into the House of Representatives in 2006, and was re-elected in 2012. He currently serves on the Appropriations, Defense & Veterans Affairs, Education, and Public Safety and Homeland Security committees.
