ATLANTA – State Representative Mesha Mainor (D-Atlanta) today honored the life and memory of Hank Aaron on the House floor. Rep. Mainor recognized the late professional baseball player during a morning order with a moment of silence followed by a biography of his life.
“It is not often that an icon is also a neighbor,” said Rep. Mainor. “Mr. Aaron is known by many to be a man of God first and a legend in baseball second. My heart pours out with sympathy for Mrs. Aaron, her entire family, their friends and family and the Friendship Baptist Church family that loves them. The nation sends our condolences and prayers to the Hank Aaron family.”
Rep. Mainor seeks to honor the passing of cultural icon and athletic legend, Mr. Hank Aaron, on behalf of the Friendship Baptist Church family. During her morning order, she highlighted Mr. Aaron’s many accomplishments that regarded him as one of the greatest baseball players of all time.
