Rep. Stacey Evans Sworn in, Receives Committee Assignments for the 2021-2022 Legislative Term

ATLANTA – State Representative Stacey Evans (D-Atlanta) was sworn into office as a member of the Georgia House of Representatives on Monday, January 11, 2021, which was the first day of the 2021-2022 legislative term. In addition to being officially sworn in, the Georgia House of Representatives’ Committee on Assignments named Rep. Evans to the Appropriations Subcommittee on General Government and the Judiciary and Retirement committees. 

“I am looking forward to serving on the Appropriations Subcommittee on General Government and the Retirement and Judiciary committees,” said Rep. Evans. “I know we can pass good legislation to not only help my constituency but for Georgians across the state, and I cannot wait to get to work.”

The House Committee on Assignments, chaired by House Speaker David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge), is charged with making all House committee assignments for the members of the Georgia House of Representatives.

Representative Stacey Evans represents the citizens of District 57, which includes portions of Fulton County. She was first elected to the House of Representatives in 2011 and was re-elected in 2020. She currently serves on the Appropriations Subcommittee on General Government and the Judiciary and Retirement committees.
