ATLANTA – State Representative Angela Moore (D-Decatur) today announced that she will pay tribute to former State Representative Pam Stephenson, who previously served House District 90, through a morning order on the House floor before the 2021 legislative session adjourns. She also plans to present Rep. Stephenson’s daughter with a privileged resolution in honor of the former House member.

ATLANTA – State Representative Greg Morris (R-Vidalia) was recently elected to serve on the State Transportation Board of the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT). As a result of this election, Chairman Morris announced his retirement from the Georgia House of Representatives.
ATLANTA – State Representatives Viola Davis (D-Stone Mountain), Sandra Scott (D-Rex), Kim Schofield (D-Atlanta), Donna McLeod (D-Lawrenceville), Rhonda Burnough (D-Riverdale) recently co-sponsored legislation to increase accountability within the Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL) and call for the resignation of GDOL Commissioner Mark Butler. These legislators also support a recently filed writ of mandamus which seeks to instate a State Advisory Council to improve the department’s operations.
ATLANTA – State Representative Shea Roberts (D-Atlanta) today announced that she has selected Tamara Carerra as a recipient of the Yellow Rose/Nikki T. Randall Servant Leadership Award. Rep. Roberts will present Carerra with the award on Friday, March 26, 2021, at 11:15 a.m. at the Community Assistance Center Thrift Store (8607 Roswell Road) in Sandy Springs.
ATLANTA – State Representative Mesha Mainor (D-Atlanta) commends Frank Lebby (F.L.) Stanton Elementary School for recently being named a recipient of a Greater Atlanta McDonald’s Golden Grant. The Golden Grant program is exclusive to the Atlanta area and launched in 2018 to provide resources for teachers and other individuals who are committed to fueling and inspiring K-12 student learning.
