State Budget Includes Over $600,000 in Funding for Darton State College
ATLANTA – State Representative Gerald Greene (R-Cuthbert) announced that the state’s Fiscal Year 2015 (AFY 2015) budget, the state spending plan from July 1 to June 30, included $678,990 in funding for Darton State College. House Bill 744, the FY15 budget, was passed by both the House and Senate on March 18, 2014, sending it to Governor Deal’s desk for his signature. False Medicaid Claims Bill Heads to Governor
ATLANTA— The Georgia Senate recently passed House Bill 973, sending it to Governor Deal for consideration. Sponsored by State Representative Edward Lindsey (R-Atlanta), HB 973 expands the 2007 Medicaid False Claims Act to include entities that defraud contractors, subcontractors and agencies from the Georgia Medicaid program. House Bill 933, Authored By Rep. Alex Atwood, Heads to Governor
ATLANTA— House Bill 933, introduced by State Representative Alex Atwood (R-Brunswick), received final passage on Thursday, March 20, 2014, and will now go to the Governor for consideration. HB 933 would make permanent an existing sales tax exemption for aviation parts used to repair and maintain out-of-state airplanes.
