Rep. Keisha Waites’ Anti-Bullying Bill Receives Support from Montlick & Associates

ATLANTA— State Representative Keisha Waites (D-Atlanta) today announced that her anti-bullying legislation, House Bill 40, has received support from Montlick & Associates.

“I am honored that Montlick & Associates released a letter of support for this important legislation,” said Rep. Waites. “Bullying is a serious issue in our schools that affects the safety and wellbeing of our young people. HB 40 aims to address this concern by strengthening reporting requirements for schools.”

The letter of support is signed by Chief Executive Officer David Montlick, and cites a national survey which found that 70.6% of young people have said that they have seen bullying in their schools. The letter states that Montlick & Associates looks forward to working with Rep. Waites and other community leaders to help stop bullying in schools and thanks Rep. Waites for her work to protect children.

Montlick & Associates also sponsors anti-bullying initiatives through their “Ambassadors For Kids” (A4K) Club. A4K Club strives to educate children on forms of abuse, including bullying; and encourage and empower them to speak out to help stop or even prevent abuse from occurring.
