Rep. Bryant Instrumental in Local Teen Receiving Georgia Military College Scholarship

ATLANTA – Representative Bob Bryant (D-Garden City) will attend a scholarship ceremony honoring Mr. Ausheen Williams TODAY, Friday, June 11, 2010, at 12:00 PM, at Beach High School in Savannah, Georgia.  Williams will receive the State Service Scholarship to Georgia Military College in Milledgeville, Georgia. In order to qualify for the State Service Scholarship, the student must be a member of the Georgia Army National Guard, maintain at least a 2.5 GPA, earn an 800 combined SAT score, be nominated by a member of the Georgia General Assembly, and be a legal resident of Georgia.  Williams was nominated for the scholarship by Representative Bryant. Speaker Ralston Announces Appointments to the Special Council on Tax Reform and Fairness
Roy Fickling of Macon and A.D. Frazier of Mineral Bluff will serve on the council

ATLANTA – House Speaker David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge) today announced the appointments of Roy Fickling and A.D. Frazier to the newly created Special Council on Tax Reform and Fairness for Georgians.  Speaker Ralston made these appointments after Governor Perdue signed House Bill 1405, which created the Special Council on Tax Reform and Fairness for Georgians.
