Rep. Steve Davis to Host Road Dedication Ceremony

Portion of Jonesboro Road to be Dedicated in Memory of Sgt. 1st Class John Beale

ATLANTA – State Representative Steve Davis (R-McDonough) will co-host a road dedication ceremony TODAY, June 4, 2010, at 7:00 PM in Alexandria Hall, located at 103 Jonesboro Road. During the ceremony, a portion of Jonesboro Road will be dedicated in memory of Army National Guard Sgt. 1st Class John Beale.  Today’s ceremony date was scheduled in recognition of the first anniversary of Sgt. Beale’s death in Afghanistan on June 4, 2009.  SFC John Beal Hero’s Highway will stretch from McDonough Parkway to the railroad tracks near the square.

ATLANTA – State Representative Jimmy Pruett (R-Eastman) served as Governor Sonny Perdue’s official representative at the Memorial Day ceremony held at the Marietta National Cemetery on Monday, May 31, 2010.  During the event, hosted by the National Memorial Day Association of Georgia and The Avenue of Flags, Representative Pruett gave the Governor’s proclamation, as Governor Perdue was unable to attend.
