Chief Harvey Cryder Appointed to the Georgia Firefighter Standards and Training Council

ATLANTA – Representative Jon Burns (R-Newington) commends Chief Harvey Cryder of the Screven County Fire Department on his appointment to the Georgia Firefighter Standards and Training Council by former Speaker Mark Burkhalter on January 5, 2010.

“I am very excited that Chief Harvey Cryder has been appointed to the Georgia Firefighter Standards and Training Council,” said Representative Burns. “It is a great honor for someone in our area to be appointed. I know that he will do a great job on our behalf, and on behalf of the entire state of Georgia.”

Representative Jon Burns represents the citizens of District 157, which includes portions of Bulloch, Burke, Effingham, Jenkins, and Screven Counties. He was elected into the House of Representatives in 2006 and is currently the Chairman of the Special Rules Committee. He also serves on the Appropriations, Agriculture and Consumer Affairs, Interstate Cooperation and Transportation Committees.
