ATLANTA – The Georgia Commission on E-Commerce and Freight Infrastructure Funding, co-chaired by State Representative Rick Jasperse (R-Jasper), will hold its first meeting on Monday, August 23, 2021, at 10 a.m. in room 401 of the Georgia Department of Transportation Headquarters in Atlanta.
Established by Senate Resolution 102, the Georgia Commission on E-Commerce and Freight Infrastructure Funding will work to identify funding and legislative initiatives that would support Georgia’s freight and logistic industries. This commission’s efforts will emphasize safety for commuters, access for Georgia’s workforce and speed and efficiency of commerce. This commission may also analyze alternative freight routes to improve regional and statewide transportation.
