Georgia Future Caucus Participates in “Serve Together: National Week of Post-Partisan Action,” Announces New Co-Chairs

ATLANTA – Members of the Georgia Future Caucus (GFC) is participating in the Millennial Action Project’s (MAP) “Serve Together: National Week of Post-Partisan Action,” or “#MAPservestogether,” which runs from February 17 – 21. Additionally, State Representatives Jasmine Clark (D-Lilburn) and Colton Moore (R-Trenton) were recently named the new co-chairs of the GFC and will focus on issues that impact millennials and future generations.

“When I attended the Millennial Action Project Future Summit in the summer of 2019, it was clear to me that when you remove the labels and discuss the issues, we have a lot more in common than the national narrative would have you believe,” said Rep. Clark. “Bipartisanship is possible when we coalesce around the issues affecting present and future generations.”

“[I am] excited to bring about the future of Georgia politics in a bipartisan way,” said Rep. Moore.

Throughout the week, the GFC and MAP seek to mobilize young people from across the country in Congress, state legislatures and at the grassroots level to join together and showcase examples of post-partisan behavior, as well as build a new narrative on political collaboration. Young legislators across the country have participated in online and offline activities to highlight their work to reach across party lines and develop innovative solutions. There are more than 900 state legislators in MAP’s national State Future Caucus Network. Additionally, MAP encouraged millennials to join the movement by using the hashtag #MAPservestogether to highlight young individuals who seek to change the state’s political narrative.

The Georgia Future Caucus is comprised of state legislators, ages 45 and under, from across the political spectrum. GFC members work together to develop innovative post-partisan solutions to issues that disproportionately affect young people across Georgia.
