During the town hall meetings, these Georgia House Democrats will discuss proposed legislation that may impact state and local elections, as well as address election integrity and access to the ballot. Focused on various regions in the state, this series will feature more than dozen different elected officials and expert guests.

“I am proud of our Georgia House Democratic Caucus for calling attention to these egregious bills and taking further steps to engage with their community,” said House Minority Leader James Beverly (D-Macon). “I am excited to join my colleagues as we work to protect access to the ballot across our state. Republicans under the Gold Dome have wasted no time in proposing overhauls to Georgia’s election system and have already put forward 42 bills or resolutions.”

“These bills are a blatant attempt to rig the game after an election where more voters participated than ever before,” said Rep. Hugley, who is the coordinator of the “Protect Your Voting Rights” series. “We have to be honest with Georgians about these bills. They are merely solutions in search of a problem. We must tell Georgians the truth.”
