Georgia House Honors Dr. Bob Heaberlin at State Capitol

ATLANTA – State Representative David Stover (R-Newnan) led the Georgia House of Representatives in recognizing Dr. Bob Heaberlin at the state capitol with House Resolution 779 on Wednesday, March 20, 2013, for being named the Association of Middle Level Education’s 2012-2013 National Distinguished Educator of the Year. Dr. Heaberlin is the principal of Lee Middle School in Coweta County.

“It was a great honor and privilege to be able to host Dr. Heaberlin at the capitol and recognize him for all of his hard work and dedication,” added Rep. Stover.

As approved by the Georgia House of Representatives, House Resolution 779 commends Dr. Bob Heaberlin for his contributions to education. Dr. Heaberlin was named the Association of Middle Level Education’s 2012-2013 National Distinguished Educator of the Year. This is the highest honor a middle level educator can receive in our country, and it is only the second time that a Georgia educator has received the honor.
