Georgia House Honors McIntosh High School Lady Chiefs Soccer Team at State Capitol

ATLANTA – State Representatives Matt Ramsey (R-Peachtree City), Virgil Fludd (D-Tyrone), Ronnie Mabra (D-Fayetteville), and David Stover (R-Newnan) led the Georgia House of Representatives in recognizing the McIntosh High School Lady Chiefs Soccer Team at the state capitol with House Resolution 148 on Thursday, March 14, 2013.

Representatives Ronnie Mabra (D-Fayetteville), Matt Ramsey (R-Peachtree City), and David Stover (R-Newnan) with Speaker David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge) and senior members of the McIntosh High School Lady Chiefs Soccer Team at the Speaker’s rostrum in the House chamber.

“We are so proud of the McIntosh High School Lady Chiefs Soccer Team for winning both the 2011 and 2012 Class AAAAA State Championships. They are an outstanding group of hard working and determined students, and we are honored to host them at the state capitol today,” added Rep. Ramsey.

As approved by the Georgia House of Representatives, House Resolution 148 commends the McIntosh High School Lady Chiefs Soccer Team for its record-breaking season and state championship victory. In the soccer program’s 26 year history, the McIntosh High School Lady Chiefs Soccer Team has earned eight state titles and 14 region championships. The team has also won 12 consecutive NSCAA Academic awards.
