House Majority Leader Jon Burns Applauds Cannondale for Bringing New Jobs to Effingham County

ATLANTA – House Majority Leader Jon Burns (R-Newington) applauds the recent announcement that Cannondale, a premium bicycle company, will open a new assembly facility in Rincon in Effingham County, bringing 60 new jobs to the area.

“I am a proud supporter of Georgia’s rapidly growing logistics industry and our workforce development programs because they keep companies coming to Georgia and expanding here,” said Leader Burns. “I applaud Cannondale for choosing Effingham County as a place to grow its operations. Georgia’s economic development policies are unparalleled, and the Cannondale expansion is more evidence that Georgia is the number one state in which to do business.”

Cannondale currently operates a distribution center in Effingham County, employing approximately sixty people, and the company expects to open its new manufacturing facility in Rincon in late 2022. The new facility will be more than 1 million square feet, doubling the number of employees Cannondale has on site. The Georgia Department of Economic Development’s Global Commerce division partnered with the Effingham County Industrial Development Authority, Georgia Quick Start and the Georgia Ports Authority to help make this expansion possible. Cannondale is currently seeking to fill 60 new positions. Individuals interested in career opportunities with Cannondale can learn more here.
