House Rural Development Council to Hold Meeting in Athens

ATLANTA – The House Rural Development Council, co-chaired by State Representatives Gerald Greene (R–Cuthbert) and Mack Jackson (D-Sandersville), will hold its next council meeting on Thursday, November 16, 2023 at 10 a.m. at the University of Georgia Center for Continuing Education in Athens.

The House Rural Development Council was first created in 2017 to work with rural communities to find ways to encourage economic growth and job creation. During the 2023 legislative session, the council was renewed for the current term through the unanimous adoption of House Resolution 488.
