ATLANTA— House Speaker David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge) today announced the appointments of the following individuals to the Citizens Review Panel for the Central Savannah River Area special district:
• Philip Wahl, Augusta— Wahl is the Market President for Savannah River Banking Company. He received his bachelor’s degree from Augusta State University. Wahl recently served as 2010 Chairman of the Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce and is a past chairman of the Augusta Metropolitan Convention and Visitors Bureau. He and his wife, Catherine, have two children.
• James Kendrick, Augusta— Kendrick is the President of Augusta Blueprint & Microfilm, Inc. He attended Augusta State University. He was the Chair of the Augusta metro Chamber of Commerce in 2005. He served on the Advisory Council of the Small Business Administration and was also a member of the Governor’s Task Force on Economy and Efficiency in Government. He and his wife, Mikki, have four children.
• S. Mark Ivey, Evans— Ivey is a partner with Ivey Residential. He serves as the Chairman of the Columbia County Coalition for Quality Government, Secretary of the Builders Association of Metro Augusta, and Chairman of the Columbia County Engineering Advisory Committee. Ivey received a bachelor’s degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He and his wife, Sonia, have three children.
The Transportation Investment Act of 2010 established a Citizens Review Panel for each special district which approved the Special District Transportation Sales and Use Tax. Each Citizens Review Panel is charged with the review of the administration of projects and programs on the approved investment list for its special district.
