ATLANTA – The House Study Committee on State and Local Law Enforcement Salaries, chaired by State Representative Mike Cheokas (R-Americus), will hold a meeting on Thursday, September 22, 2022, at 10 a.m. at the John Pope Technology Center in Americus.
Established by House Resolution 1082, this study committee will examine how law enforcement salaries in Georgia compare to salaries in other states in an effort to help retain and recruit law enforcement officers throughout the state. The study committee will conclude its work by December 31, 2022, ahead of the 2023 legislative session.
