ATLANTA – The Joint Study Committee on the Electrification of Transportation, co-chaired by State Representative Rick Jasperse (R-Jasper) and State Senator Steve Gooch (R-Dahlonega), will hold its next meeting on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, from 10 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. at the C.W. This study committee will continue to develop a comprehensive, strategic plan that sets policy objectives for infrastructure, economic preparedness, transportation funding, innovation and the development of a successful electric vehicle (EV) market in the state. As the study committee develops legislative recommendations, its members will also examine how to accelerate economic growth, directly engage stakeholders and address the growing need for a state-wide public charging infrastructure.
