ATLANTA – House Majority Leader Chuck Efstration (R-Dacula) was recently appointed by Governor Brian Kemp to serve as a member on the Georgia Commission on Child Support.
“I want to thank Governor Kemp for entrusting me with this appointment,” said Leader Efstration. “As a father, a family law attorney and the son of a longtime public educator, I learned early in life that our children represent the future of our state, and I am committed to using my time on this commission to serve the best interests of those children.”
The Georgia Commission on Child Support consists of fifteen members, appointed by the governor. The duties of the Commission are outlined in O.C.G.A. § 19-6-53 and include establishing and regularly reviewing child support guidelines, development and maintenance of the Georgia Child Support Calculator, recommending legislation, providing training throughout the State to judges, attorneys, and the public and many other duties.

Representative Chuck Efstration represents the citizens of District 104, which includes portions of Barrow and Gwinnett counties. He was elected to the House of Representatives in 2013 and currently serves as the House Majority Leader. He also serves on the Appropriations Subcommittee on Transportation and on the Code Revision, Ethics, Insurance, Judiciary, Judiciary Non-Civil, Juvenile Justice and Reapportionment and Redistricting committees and is an Ex-Officio member of the Rules Committee.
