Minority Leader James Beverly, Rep. Kim Schofield to Hold Press Conference on the Right to Reproductive Freedom Resolution, House Resolution 836

ATLANTA – Minority Leader James Beverly (D-Macon) and State Representative Kim Schofield (D-Atlanta) will hold a press conference to support the Right to Reproductive Freedom Resolution, House Resolution 836, TOMORROW, Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at 9 a.m. on the South Wing Steps of the Georgia State Capitol.

“More than four in five Georgians agree that when someone decides to have an abortion, that decision should be up to them, not the government,” said Rep. Schofield. “The Right to Reproductive Freedom Resolution would use the power of our democracy and allow the people of Georgia to enshrine individuals’ right to make decisions about their own healthcare. Georgians are asked to contact their legislators in favor of upholding the right to privacy and reproductive freedom. The women of Georgia need the people of Georgia to stand up with them.”

During the press conference, Minority Leader Beverly and Rep. Schofield will discuss House Resolution 836, which would place the right to an abortion on Georgia’s November 5, 2024, ballot.
