Rep. Victor Anderson Praises Georgia Council for the Arts Grant Awarded to Rabun County

ATLANTA – State Representative Victor Anderson (R-Cornelia), chairman of the House Governmental Affairs Committee, applauds the Georgia Council for the Arts (GCA) – a division of the Georgia Department of Economic Development – for awarding a $10,000 General Operating Support Grant to the Hambidge Center for the Creative Arts and Sciences in Rabun County. This funding is part of GCA’s fiscal year 2026 General Operating Support, Project and Arts Education Program grants.

Rep. Rick Townsend Appointed to State’s Water Council by House Speaker Jon Burns  

ATLANTA – State Representative Rick Townsend (R-Brunswick) was recently appointed by Speaker Jon Burns (R-Newington) to serve as a member on the Georgia Water Council. The Georgia Water Council is tasked with ensuring coordination, cooperation and communication among state agencies and their water-related efforts in the development of a comprehensive state-wide water management plan in coordination with the Georgia General Assembly and other state agencies.
