ATLANTA – State Representatives Ed Rynders (R-Albany) and Butch Parrish (R-Swainsboro) announced House Resolution 1203 and House Bill 1020-legislation that gives more flexibility to local school systems by giving voters the option to lift restrictions on how sales tax revenues are used for educational purposes.

ATLANTA – The Milton County Legislators’ Advisory Committee met for the first time on June 11 at Johns Creek City Hall. Representatives Mark Burkhalter (R- Johns Creek) and Jan Jones (R- Milton) formed the committee in May 2009 to advise north Fulton legislators on the proposed re-creation of Milton County.
ATLANTA – Representatives Mark Burkhalter (R- Johns Creek) and Jan Jones (R-Milton) announced today an initial Milton County Legislative Advisory Committee. The Committee will assist and advise Representatives Burkhalter and Jones as they proceed forward with historic legislation to allow the re-creation of Milton County.
ATLANTA – Yesterday the House Education Committee voted 12-9 to pass the committee substitute to SB 10 – Georgia Special Needs Scholarship Act. Representative David Casas (R-Lilburn) has been working tirelessly with Senator Eric Johnson in order to provide Georgians with choice when it comes to the education of their special needs children.
