ATLANTA – State Representative Debra Bazemore (D-South Fulton) applauds the recent committee passage of House Bill 490 by the House Committee on Economic Development and Tourism. Sponsored by Rep. Rep. Lee Hawkins Applauds House Passage of Legislation to Certify Dental Offices for Conscious Sedation

ATLANTA – State Representative Lee Hawkins (R-Gainesville), chairman of the House Health Committee, applauds the unanimous passage of House Bill 1278, legislation he sponsored that would allow the Georgia Board of Dentistry, or a designee of the board, to certify a dental office is properly equipped to administer conscious sedation to a patient.

Rep. Bill Werkheiser Introduces Bill to Allow Rural Hospitals to Work Together to Negotiate Contracts

ATLANTA – State Representative Bill Werkheiser (R-Glennville), chairman of the House Industry and Labor Committee, recently introduced House Bill 1393, which would allow rural hospitals to collaborate with other rural hospitals to negotiate contracts, such as purchasing contracts, staffing arrangements, negotiating reimbursement rates and more.
