ATLANTA – State Representative Beth Moore (D-Peachtree Corners) recently introduced House Bill 485, which would repeal and prohibit the death penalty in Georgia and commute any pending capital punishments to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
ATLANTA – Speaker David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge) today appointed a Special Committee on Access to the Civil Justice System. This special committee of the House of Representatives will consider legislation which seeks to modify Georgia’s civil justice system and the ability of citizens to seek redress through the courts.
Appoints Additional Members to House Appropriations Committee ATLANTA – Speaker David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge) today announced changes in leadership positions of several House committees. The Speaker also appointed additional members to the House Appropriations Committee and its subcommittees.
