Speaker Ralston Announces Special Committee on Access to the Civil Justice System

ATLANTA – Speaker David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge) today appointed a Special Committee on Access to the Civil Justice System. This special committee of the House of Representatives will consider legislation which seeks to modify Georgia’s civil justice system and the ability of citizens to seek redress through the courts.   

“For the last seven years in a row, Georgia has been named the best state in the nation in which to do business,” said Speaker David Ralston. “Any legislation which may negatively impact our business climate and limit access to our civil justice system must be carefully considered. This special committee will focus solely on this important topic and will take the time necessary to thoroughly review and discuss proposed legislation.”
