Rep. Kim Schofield Commends Fulton County Board of Commissioners for Local CROWN Act Passage

ATLANTA – State Representative Kim Schofield (D-Atlanta) commends the Fulton County Board of Commissioners for the local passage of the “Creating a Respectful and Open World for Natural Hair” (CROWN) Act. Rep. Schofield urges the Georgia General Assembly to pass Senate Bill 82, the CROWN Act, to prohibit discrimination against natural hair.

Georgia House Passes Rep. Carpenter’s “Safe at Home Act” to Balance Tenant Protections, Landlord Rights

ATLANTA – State Representative Kasey Carpenter (R-Dalton) today announced that the Georgia House of Representatives unanimously passed House Bill 404, or the “Safe at Home Act,” on Thursday, March 2, 2023. Rep. Marvin Lim Develops New Law Enforcement Training on Multicultural Community Policing

ATLANTA – State Representative Marvin Lim (D-Norcross) has developed a new training course with the Georgia Public Safety Training Center (GPSTC) to improve how Georgia peace officers interact with multicultural communities. The new GPSTC “Cultural Adeptness in Law Enforcement” course is offered as a Governor’s Initiative online course.
