Rep. Sandra Scott Selects Ms. Regina Deloach for Yellow Rose/Nikki T. Randall Servant Leadership Award

ATLANTA – State Representative Sandra Scott (D-Rex) today announced that she has selected Ms. Regina Deloach as a recipient of the 2023 Yellow Rose/Nikki T. Randall Servant Leadership Award. Rep. Scott will present Ms. Deloach with the award during a ceremony on Wednesday, March 8, 2023.

“I am proud to announce that Regina Deloach will be joining the special roster of Georgia women who exemplify servant leadership,” said Rep. Scott. “Regina Deloach is a hidden jewel in the Clayton County community. She has an unimpeachable reputation for integrity, intelligence, fairness and kindness, and she is an abundantly fitting recipient of this award.”

Deloach served as the first Black woman chair of the Clayton County Development Authority and first woman vice chair of the Metro Atlanta Joint Development Authority. During her time as chair of the Clayton County Development Authority, she helped facilitate several major economic development projects. Deloach is currently a vice president for South State Bank, where she is responsible for the comparative analysis of financial statements for middle market and large commercial clients.

This award was created in honor of former State Representative Nikki T. Randall, who became the first African American female elected to the Georgia General Assembly. Former Rep. Randall served as chair of the Georgia Legislative Women’s Caucus. Every year during Women’s History Month, this caucus recognizes women in Georgia who exemplify the leadership and inspiration embodied by former Rep. Randall.

Rep. Scott introduced House Resolution 314 to recognize and commend Regina Deloach for her dedicated service to Georgia. The Georgia House of Representatives recently adopted this privileged resolution on March 1, 2023.
