ATLANTA – State Representatives John Carson (R-Marietta) and Esther Panitch (D-Sandy Springs), along with numerous groups representing the Jewish community in Georgia, will hold a press conference to discuss House Bill 30 TOMORROW, Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at 12 p.m. at the South Wing Steps of the Georgia State Capitol.
ATLANTA – State Representatives Todd Jones (R-South Forsyth) and Mary Margaret Oliver (D-Decatur) today introduced legislation to continue to reform Georgia’s mental health care delivery system and address workforce shortages. House Bill 520 would build upon the foundation of Georgia’s Mental Health Parity Act, which was championed by late Speaker Ralston and Reps. Jones and Oliver during the 2022 legislative session.
ATLANTA – State Representative Mandisha A. Thomas (D-South Fulton) recently introduced House Bill 287, legislation which would authorize microenterprise operations out of home kitchens in compliance with the Georgia Department of Public Health. Under HB 287, microenterprise home kitchen operations would be considered non-commercial kitchens in private homes where ready-to-eat food is handled, stored, prepared or offered for sale by the resident off the premises.
