ATLANTA – State Representative Sandra Scott (D-Rex) was recently recognized by the Center for Effective Lawmaking (CEL), a group of scholars from the University of Virginia and Vanderbilt University, as one of Georgia’s most consistently effective legislators in the 157th Georgia General Assembly (2023–2024). According to CEL’s recently released State Legislative Effectiveness Scores, Rep. Scott ranks at the top of the list for lawmakers who have consistently “Exceeded Expectations” for five consecutive legislative sessions—the longest such streak in the Georgia State House.
