Georgia Legislators Attend National Foundation of Women Legislators’ Evolution of Marijuana Policy Summit

ATLANTA – State Representatives Dar’shun Kendrick (D-Lithonia), Karen Bennett (D-Stone Mountain), Sandra Scott (D-Rex) and State Senator Tonya Anderson (D-Lithonia) recently attended the Evolution of Marijuana Policy Summit hosted by the National Foundation of Women Legislators (NFWL) in Denver, Colorado. The NWFL hosted a group of 30 elected women who are considering marijuana-related legalization in their state or municipality or in states where legalization has already been established. Speaker Ralston Announces House of Representatives to Begin Work on AFY 2020 & FY 2021 State Budgets

State Appoints Committee on Economic Growth & Directs Appropriations Committee to Meet

 

ATLANTA – Speaker David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge) today announced that the Georgia House of Representatives will begin work this fall to prepare the Amended Fiscal Year 2020 and the Fiscal Year 2021 state budgets. Speaker Ralston has named a new Special Committee on Economic Growth, which will solicit input on potential new industries in the State of Georgia.
