House Bill 164 Heads to Governor
ATLANTA — House Bill 164, introduced by state Representative Alex Atwood (R-Brunswick), received final passage in the Senate on Wednesday, March 20, 2013, and will now go to the Governor for consideration. HB 164 would extend an existing sales tax exemption for aviation parts used to repair and maintain out-of-state airplanes that is scheduled to automatically expire on July 1, 2013.
Georgia House Honors McIntosh High School Lady Chiefs Soccer Team at State Capitol
ATLANTA – State Representatives Matt Ramsey (R-Peachtree City), Virgil Fludd (D-Tyrone), Ronnie Mabra (D-Fayetteville), and David Stover (R-Newnan) led the Georgia House of Representatives in recognizing the McIntosh High School Lady Chiefs Soccer Team at the state capitol with House Resolution 148 on Thursday, March 14, 2013.
Alma Awarded $6 Million to Finance Wastewater System Infrastructure
ATLANTA – Georgia Environmental Finance Authority (GEFA) Executive Director Kevin Clark announced today the approval of a Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) loan of $6,000,000 to the City of Alma to finance upgrades to the city’s wastewater treatment facility. Clark expressed appreciation to State Representative Chuck Sims (R-Ambrose) for his support and credited the state’s commitment to helping cities and counties finance infrastructure development as one of the main contributors to GEFA’s success.
