ATLANTA – State Representative Angela Moore (D-Decatur) will hold a press conference to celebrate “Ag Hero Day” on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, from 12:30 – 1 p.m. at the South Wing Steps of the State Capitol.
Rep. Moore will honor Georgia’s youngest certified Farmer, Kendall Rae Johnson, who is six years old. Rep. Moore will be joined by State Representatives Billy Mitchell (D-Stone Mountain), Mandisha A. Thomas (D-South Fulton) and Winfred Dukes (D-Albany).
Following the press conference, attendees will be able to pick up fresh produce from the Georgia Department of Agriculture from 1 p.m. – 1:30 in room 216 of the State Capitol.
The public is invited to celebrate all agriculture heroes and can share their Georgia #AgHero stories on social media using the hashtags #GaAgWeek2021 and #AgHero.
