Rep. Betty Price Comments on Roswell Term Limit Provision

ATLANTA —State Representative Betty Price (R-Roswell) today issued the following statement regarding the term limit provision cited in the Roswell city charter and pending litigation against Mayor Jere Wood:

“The legal action challenging the ability of Mayor Wood to continue serving in office is currently before a judge and it would not be prudent to comment on an on-going legal matter.

That said, the term limit provision in the city’s charter was adopted in 2010 when I was a member of the City Council only in the interest of sensible, limited government and at Mayor Wood’s request.  That measure was not aimed at any particular office-holder or potential candidate.”

Representative Betty Price represents the citizens of District 48, which includes portions of Fulton County. She was first elected into the House of Representatives in 2015, and currently serves on the Governmental Affairs, Health & Human Services, and State Planning & Community Affairs committees.
