Rep. Brian Prince Selected by Council of State Governments as Henry Toll Fellow

ATLANTA – State Representative Brian Prince (D-Augusta) has been selected by the Council of State Governments (CSG) as one of 48 members of the 2016 class of Henry Toll Fellows.  The Toll Fellowship Program is a national leadership development program for state government officials.

“I am humbled to be selected as a member of the 2016 class of Henry Toll Fellows,” said Rep. Prince.  “This distinguished organization is one of the oldest and most well-respected leadership programs in the country, and I am thrilled to join other leaders from across the country to exchange ideas and build lasting relationships.”

Each year, Toll Fellows brings 48 of the nation’s top officials from all three branches of state government to Lexington, Kentucky for for an intensive six-day, five-night “intellectual boot camp.” Rep. Prince and Rep. Keisha Waites (D-Atlanta) are the only two Georgia House members of this year’s class, which will meet Aug. 26-31. To date, only 18 Georgia legislators have been selected to the program, with the first Georgian being selected in 1988.

The program’s agenda includes a lineup of speakers and sessions designed to stimulate personal assessment and growth, while providing networking and relationship-building opportunities. While each year’s program is unique, previous programs have included sessions on leadership personality assessment, media training, crisis management, appreciative inquiry, adaptive leadership and much more.
