Rep. Brian Strickland Assigned to New Committees for 2015-2016 Legislative Term

ATLANTA – The Georgia House of Representatives’ Committee on Assignments recently appointed State Representative Brian Strickland (R- McDonough) to the Economic Development and Tourism and Industry and Labor committees. Rep. Strickland is also a member of the Banks & Banking, Intragovernmental, and Judiciary Non-Civil committees.

“I am looking forward to providing a voice for Henry County on both of these committees,” said Rep. Strickland. “Our community is well positioned to take advantage of the industries that are flocking to Georgia, and my presence on these committees will ensure that Henry County has a seat at the table when it comes to promoting the future economic development of our state.”

The House Committee on Assignments, chaired by House Speaker David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge), is charged with making all House committee assignments for the members of the Georgia House of Representatives.

Representative Brian Strickland represents the citizens of District 111, which includes portions of Henry County. He was elected into the House of Representatives in 2012, and currently serves on the Banks & Banking, Economic Development and Tourism, Intragovernmental, Industry and Labor, and Judiciary Non-Civil committees.
