Rep. Buzz Brockway Named Chairman of House Code Revision Committee

ATLANTA – The Georgia House of Representatives’ Committee on Assignments named State Representative Buzz Brockway (R-Lawrenceville) as the Chairman of the House Code Revision Committee.  Rep. Brockway will also serve as a member on the Appropriations Subcommittee on Human Resources, Economic Development & Tourism, Education, Governmental Affairs and Insurance committees.

“I’m grateful to Speaker David Ralston and the Committee on Assignments for trusting me with the responsibility of chairing this committee,” said Rep. Brockway.  “The job of the Code Revision Committee is to repeal obsolete laws, and I look forward to working with the Speaker and members of the committee to pass such legislation.”

The House Committee on Assignments, chaired by House Speaker David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge), is charged with making all House committee assignments for the members of the Georgia House of Representatives.

Representative Buzz Brockway represents the citizens of District 102, which includes portions of Gwinnett County. He was elected into the House of Representatives in 2010, and currently serves as the Chairman of the Code Revision Committee. He also serves on the Appropriations Subcommittee on Human Resources, Economic Development & Tourism, Education, Governmental Affairs and Insurance committees.
