Rep. Carter Announces Educational Opportunities for National Financial Literacy Month

ATLANTA – State Representative Doreen Carter (D-Lithonia) today announced upcoming educational opportunities for National Financial Literacy Month during April.

“Since 2003, the U.S. has recognized April as Financial Literacy Month,” said Rep. Carter. “I strongly believe in the power that comes from obtaining economic knowledge and growing an individual’s financial literacy. I look forward to providing these informational materials for my constituents to set important financial goals that will benefit them now and well into their futures.”

During Financial Literacy Month, Rep. Carter will provide various educational opportunities via her State Representative Facebook page. Citizens can visit these sites to learn more about implementing practices and solutions for their financial well-being. Constituents can learn how to keep a 21-day diary of their personal spending and are encouraged to order credit reports, review financial investments, create three financial goals and limit spending on unplanned purchases during the month of April.
